The problem
In early 2022, Bolivia entered an unprecedented dollar shortage. After years of a stable exchange rate (~6.96 BOB/USD), the banking system simply stopped processing international payments.
Companies could not pay Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, servers or email marketing: nothing that required dollars. Ad accounts were blocked for non-payment. A whole country’s digital marketing came to a standstill.
What we built
The crisis started in January–February 2022. By March, we already had a working system in operation.
We designed a completely new operating model that used cryptocurrency as a financial bridge.
Payment in local currency (BOB)
The client pays in local currency, with no friction.
Conversion to USDT
We tapped an emerging crypto exchange market that was moving only 20–30K USD a day at the time.
Bridge to fiat currency
The USDT is converted into dollars or local currency in other countries.
Payment to global platforms
We pay Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, servers and technology tools.
Clients in mass consumer goods, food, telecommunications, banking, fintech and multinationals adopted our payment rails.
The result
We became one of the main digital media providers in Bolivia. The Bolivian crypto market grew from 20–30K USD a day to 4–5 million USD a day, and we were part of that wave from minute one.
The system was not a temporary patch: it is our current business model in Bolivia.
Why it’s innovation
Nobody in Latin America had built crypto payment rails to sustain digital ad investment. It solved a country’s problem, not a single client’s, and it went from crisis to working solution in under 60 days.
It also created a new business: we went from digital services provider to financial infrastructure for an entire market.
